Here’s your quickie Geek news for the day.
- There are Justice League of America movie rumors bouncing around the interwebs. According to the reputable source, Latino Review, the tentative cast of the movie has been chosen. No surprise, it includes Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, and Green Lantern. They’re also reporting the villain for the 2015 movie will be Darkseid, a god from Apokolips. What do you think? Is the cast too small? And Darkseid, a man who is only known to comics readers?
- J.J. Abrams is set to direct the next installment of Star Wars. According to HuffPost, the director denied getting involved early on but was brought on thanks to the deal with Disney. Ben Affleck was also considered. Personally, I’m excited because Star Trek was amaaaazing. Hopefully all the Disney/Lucasfilm jokes can stop now. But we know they won’t.
- For anyone watching Glee or looking for a reason to dislike the show even more, the singing show has done someone famous on the internet dirty. Jonathan Coulter’s version (similar to the original only due to the lyrics) of “Baby Got Back” was directly sampled by the show without any payment or notice to the artist. Of course, Glee’s been doing this for a while but none has been THIS obvious. Check out Nerdist for the full story and videos.
